Best Subcultures?

Postby Hobolad » Fri Oct 05, 2007 12:36 pm

That would be interesting, y'know- emos, hippies, beatniks, punks, mods, teds etc.

Great website by the way!

I would totally vote hippies in as number one...what could be better than someone promoting peace, love, and happiness? It's all you really need to live a good life. (Okay, and maybe I'm a closet hippie...)

How about those people who are into rockabilly music and insist on dressing like they're in Social Distortion or something?

There's also the tattoo subculture. Going mainstream, sure, but some dedicated people have more than most.

And now there's the piercing craziness, like hanging from hooks and crap.

If you post a list on subcultures, Jamie, you'll be giving into society's need to pigeonhole everyone! PROMOTE INDIVIDUALISM, NOT STEREOTYPES!

romero this topic has been around since October last year, if J wanted to publish a list on them, he would have done so already ;)
I do not strum with my hand; he who strums with his hand has forgotten the face of his father. I strum with my ear.
I do not pick with my hand; he who picks with his hand has forgotten the face of his father. I pick with my mind.
I do not shred with my hand; he who shreds with his hand has forgotten the face of his father. I shred with my heart.

Plus, subcultures are not stereotypes. There is the mainstream and there are subcultures.
In the dark times, will there also be singing?
Yes, there will be singing about the dark times.

You can identify stereotypes within a subculture though!
