1) Yes, I changed her name. I worked at a daycare during college and there's a storybook character named Maisy Mouse. I always thought Maisy would be a nice name for a pet. My best friend and I lived together at the time and we adopted two cats but they were both boys. When she moved in with her boyfriend, she took the cats and I wanted a dog. I actually wanted a male chocolate lab, but I fell in love with a female pit bull. Her name at the shelter was Maya, so it wasn't too big of a transition for her. She doesn't even look up if I call her Maya now.

2) I have a degree in Creative Writing and Literature from Towson University in Towson, Maryland. Class of 07 represent!

3) I stopped searching for "my type" a long time ago. I thought I had one, but I really don't. Hopefully, the perfect man will come along. Double points if it's soon.

4) Absolutely. I've always worked around kids- I taught dance in high school and worked at a day care in college. Everyone thought I was going to be a teacher. I have two nephews, a neice, and something on the way (should find out any day. I think it's a girl ,but everyone else says boy), and they are amazing. I can't wait to have my own someday.

5) My favorite sport to watch is UFC. My favorite to play is tennis. Hobby wise, I like arts and crafts. I needlepoint, cross stitch, knit, and crochet.

Mr. Trigun,
1) Do you like where you live? If not, where would you rather be ?
2)How did you find Listverse?
3) What do oyu want to be when you grow up?
4) What's your favorite tattoo?
5)If I gave to $5000 right now, what's the first thing you'd buy?

1) Do you like where you live? If not, where would you rather be ?
- Kind of. Washington is perfect, but I'd prefer to live on the other side of the state. Spokane is too small for me, I like the big city of Seattle.
2)How did you find Listverse?
- I used to go to Ebaums to look at the links of the week. LV had been featured there a few times, so I eventually discovered the 'archive' section and got addicted.
3) What do you want to be when you grow up?
- Rockstar \m/ For serious though, career wise I could care less what I do with the rest of my life, but making some money playing guitar would be ideal, even if it's just busking.
4) What's your favorite tattoo?
- Don't have a favorite tattoo really. I plan to make my shoulder piece pretty epic though, so I assume that'll be my favorite when I ever get around to designing it. :P
5)If I gave to $5000 right now, what's the first thing you'd buy?
A sandwich from Quiznos, cause I was gonna do that once I finish this anyway. Honey bourbon chicken, mmm

sigh

1) What's the best and worst parts of living in the UK?
-Worst: driving. I swear people tailgate here like they WANT to run into the back of my car. Best: Being able to go home and be all "oh, yeah, I live in England now." Little do they know....

2) Where has been your favorite place you've visited? Every place I have traveled too has been pretty badass but.... NYC is consistently my favorite

3) What's your favorite thing to hate on? You. Then everything else. In that order. In fact, I hate this game.

4) You're going to your dream festival, who are the 5 bands performing? Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Spinerette, The Gaslight Anthem, EoDM, and NIN. And then we would all hang out together. And Brian Fallon would ask me to marry him. And Karen O would be my best friend.

5) If you were to go back to school, what would you go back to learn? How to keep people from dying from eating "food".
I've been less right than wrong.

Sorry for the delay. My wife's been home on college holiday for 2 weeks, and I really did need time to type without the possibility of her peering over my shoulder asking me what I'm doing.

1. Before I went to Korea I joined a friend finder website. Before I left and once I was there I had a few half-hearted exchanges with various other people, but it happened that she "winked" at me just as I sent her a message, so in a sense we both found each other. She studied tourism management at university, and I was planning a long weekend in Seoul, so I asked her for tourist suggestions. I can't remember who suggested meeting when I was in Seoul, but we did. From then on it was telephone calls, emails, me visiting Seoul, her visiting the regional city where I was living and some trips to various places around the country.

2. Most of the time - none! Being exceptionally shy and having had a love-life of almost completely zero, I've never really pictured myself married, let alone with children. My wife is eager, but is over 40, so we're considering options. Seriously - two; one boy and one girl.

3. In my life now - sleeping! In my ideal life - exploring anywhere natural or historical where there's plenty of opportunity to take photos, followed by a small dinner/party with mutual friends and wide-ranging intelligent but sometimes silly conversation.

4. Can't make up my mind. Teaching students from so many different country, I get to hear about so many different options.

5. I trained in classical music, on piano, but I now rarely play, but until I went to Korea I sang in two of Sydney's leading classical chamber choirs. There's no fully professional choir in Australia, but if there was, and if I was good enough, I'd love to do that. A choir with a varied repertoire and perhaps with a few instrumentalists attached to it (for variety - as well as singing with orchestra sometimes). Also with a conductor who included my compositions on the program at least occasionally. I would also like for my compositions to be played and sung around the world, with a moderate degree of adulation and a sufficient amount of royalties on a regular basis.
I don't know everything about everything, but I do know a little bit about a little bit. (Bad Boys movie)

1. Have you experienced any Paranormal events?
No, but I always wished I could see ghosts... :(

2. What monster from the movies are most afraid off?
No doubt about it - those horrid flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz! I never saw the end of the movie until I was an adult... I would suddenly get "sleepy" and run madly to my bed and quiver beneath the covers, still hearing the awful music coming from the TV. :o

3. If you were a monster who would you be?
The little white attack rabbit from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Go for the jugular!

4. Whats the scariest dream you've ever had?
In the dream, my brother and I were about 4 and 8 years old, hiding in an attic. We heard loud footsteps, saw the big boots, and a Nazi soldier walked up and pulled the curtain back... I knew we were doomed. Then I woke up. (Thank God!)

5. If you were in a scary film which would you pick and why?
Silence of the Lambs, because it's my favorite scary movie. I would like to be the one sitting at the table while they ate my brains.

For Shifty:
(I guess we're making the rounds of games forum people again...)

1. When did you first find out about the Chupacabra?
2. Have you ever seen the Chupacabra?
3. What is your favorite song about the Chupacabra?
4. Do you think the Chupacabra is really 4 feet tall, like a mutant, winged Chihuahua?
5. What would you do if you actually came face-to-face with the Chupacabra?

1.When did you first find out about the Chupacabra?
About ten years ago from an odd little local radio show here called Ground Zero.

2. Have you ever seen the Chupacabra?
I've seen a lot of weird stuff but no confirmed sightings.

3. What is your favorite song about the Chupacabra?
There are so many it's hard to choose just one.

4. Do you think the Chupacabra is really 4 feet tall, like a mutant, winged Chihuahua?
Absolutely

5. What would you do if you actually came face-to-face with the Chupacabra?
I would offer it food in an attempt to become friends. I hear they are quite fond of goat.

1.) Describe the oddest tattoo you've ever done.
Maybe not the oddest, except it ended with me punching the guy in the face.....I did a nude Betty Boop on a friend who was staying with us. Before the tattoo was totally colored in, I had new equipment arrive UPS. He talked another tattoo artist friend into using MY new equipment to finish MY tat, while they sat in MY house. Let's see, that's about 3 stomps on my toe so far....I tried to count to ten and calm down multiple times ( at least 4 little walks to the kitchen), but before I knew it, POW!!! right in the kisser! Delicious sidenote: My artist friend deliberately screwed up the tattoo as a lasting reminder of the impatient asshole's doings.

2.) What is the oddest location on the body that you have ever tattooed?
For a tattoo artist, there are really no odd places on the human body....just places that are harder to get a clear image on. The tattoo site requires the ability to stretch the skin very tautly for the needle to penetrate.....Also as a married woman, I drew the line at some zones...Male genitalia. Besides the stretching necessary for that kind of tattoo is really more work than i care to handle...Hehehe. So a few butt tattooos was my oddest. Also the soles of the feet and the palm of the hand are very hard to penetrate deeply enough to leave a lasting image.

3.) Describe a tattoo that you have done that is one of your favorites?
I did so many and every one of them was hand drawn by me. I got to do tribals and techno and celtic and freeform and no outline and black/gray. One of my favorites was a no outline realistic "painting" of two macaws done on the bicep of a guy....these birds could take a peanut from your fingers. When I circulated photos of the macaws among the tattoo shops of southern California, no outline realistic became the new hot trend in professional shop"s submissions to the national tattoo magazines. Apparently I put the fear to some of these shops and their highly reputable artists.

4.) Do you have allot of tattoos yourself and what is your favorite one?
I do NOT have a lot of tattoos....I have the equipment, but not the funds to go to an artist for myself. As an artist who worked from the home and on-site, I was a little outside of the "inner circle", although I was known by the Orange county pro shops. I have ONE tattoo on my left back shoulder, which was done by the guy who left me his equipment to see if I was an artist, and the tattoo on my ankle that I did with his equipment...I later added to the ankle on the birth of my son, and added a branding to the ankle when I got my first professional equipment. Some little thumbnail sized pieces in a few hidden areas...High inner thigh, breast, etc. to test out new equipment or inks and pigments. How boring.

5.) What is the best piece of advice you could give someone getting their first tattoo?
I've popped a few tattoo cherries....So here's the rundown...If the prospect is a youngster, DO NO HARM. Make sure they understand the ramifications of "urban street tattoos" they may have their heart set on..so many are actually prison or gangter, and to wear them can be a matter of life or death. I shit you not. For anyone getting a new tattoo I would advise something that you are passionate about, something that has a special meaning to you...you are going to wear it for life. Stay away from the flavor of the week rockband logos....and forget about your true love's name. Tattoo artists KNOW that to tattooo a lover's name is to doom the love.....a GOOD coverup is few and far between and laser removal still leaves a scar in the form of the tattoo or worse. And NEVER be so antsy for skinart that you put your health in jeopardy....although I never worked out of a shop, i kept a network of health workers and had the knowledge of the local shops behind me. AIDS is a danger, but not nearly as much as hepatitus, as THAT particular disease can survive out of the body for a very long time in an unclean shop. So go to a reputable and clean artist.

6.) Have you done art in any other mediums?
I have been creative in sooo many mediums...I am certified in graphic and advertisement art. I work in oils and acrylics. Draw and do handlettering. I used to teach statuary painting ( a craft) and also have been an instructor of needlearts, including knitting and crochet. I've landed some blue ribbons in leaded glass. Sewing and doll making, pattern-making. I sculpt in papier mache' and fimo. My bead cabinet is large. But not much lately.

7.) Have you ever tattooed someones genitals?
As I mentioned, I shy away from the male packages....but i have worked a couple of buttocks male and female. Shower first, please.

Wow..I have written a novel.......

I'm gonna point the spotlight at Tenebrae Vision........
Just where I belong

1. I googled your user name and now know that it is a band, but is that the reason for your choice, or is it deeper than that?
Actually, it's an album title for the band Cyberaktif. I wish I could say I chose it for a more fascinating and profound reason but, alas no. Though, I do know that Tenebrae means gloom in Latin which is kinda interesting.

2. You are resident of Hawaii, is that because of military ties?
Yes. My husband is a Marine stationed here on island. When I separated from the Navy, they let me process out here. So, not only did I get to come to Hawaii, but the US Navy paid for my trip to sign my DD-214 here on Oah'u.

3. If the answer to above is yes, where else would you like to live in your military life?
I'm hoping to go back east, early next year. I've been around the world, so I won't mind having something on the mainland US - boring as that sounds. Though, it would be nice if my husband would get stationed somewhere in Europe.

4. If the answer is no, how did you get so lucky?
N/A

5. You mention that your posted costume picture is not a costume for you.....would you like to elaborate? ( Please feel free to omit an answer to this question, if I've made you uncomfortable, or knocked on a private door.)
I don't mind elaborating. I'm a Wiccan High Priestess (not self proclaimed, 5 years of training and study under a lineaged HPs) and Halloween (Samhain) is a huge celebration for us. My husband and I wore robes for the religious rite. Side note - It was beautiful and amazing. GORGEOUS night here in Hawaii.

I'm going to shift it back to Eric:

1. You've mentioned your kids. Where are their Halloween pics?!
2. I must have missed something somewhere - married? If so, how long?
3. Have you ever been in an televised match?
4. Who is your favourite fighter of all time? Why?
5. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

1. You've mentioned your kids. Where are their Halloween pics?!
On the way. sorry its taking a while i've been trying to recover and been working.

2. I must have missed something somewhere - married? If so, how long?
Well its complicated but im not married by law or church. Common law I guess and for 6 yrs. now. Wow that seems for so long since im 23.

3. Have you ever been in an televised match?
I wish but no right now im just training but I broke or sprained my Pinky toe on my right leg and i just started walking with shoes on so ill probably not workout for another week or so. :(

4. Who is your favourite fighter of all time? Why?
Well im not to familiar with old fighter and im sure there was good ones back then but I really like Chuck Liddell. He is my sons fav. as well. Why? when I started getting into the sport that would be the one person that you could hear the most of and that mohawk come on whats not to like. It suks he is all old now and probably going to stay retired.

5. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? My brain is burning :| :?:   wait ummmmmmmm no never mind

Okay lets see Nitro.

1.As a kid what did you want to be when you were growing up?
Lawyer..but everything changed when i met Royce Gracie( first UFC champion/BJJ Legend) 3yrs ago his approach to life is inspiring. Thats when i decided i want to be like Royce.

2.How far do you want to go in your fighting career?
I'm not going to go like Randy Couture. I wont be able to fight until my thirtees or forties & neither do I want to fight that long. UFC is a big dream though.

3.What else do you want to instead of fighting?
Will try to get a degree in Law or Law enforcement. I’ve conquered the demons from going into the ring and fighting, so everything else is easy after that i think.

4.Did you ever get into any fights in school?
I grew up rough and fought a lot. I started fighting three years ago because I thought the chances of me getting to fight a guy one on one was great. Where I come from, you usually get jumped or beat with something.

5.Last do you get a lot of chicks in the fighting biz?
I collect women and put them in a drawer at night when I go to sleep, then wake up in the morning and play with them again. Kidding..Seriously, its a stereotype..i know guys in the camp whos been married and loyal to their woman.

1.If you were written about in the newspaper, on the front page, what would the headline say?
I'm around newspaper and newspaper people so much during the workday that I'm no sure I'd want a big headline. Taking up ad space :D But otherwise it would obviously say I'd been named The Most Awesome Person on Earth.

2.Who has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?
My older sister. I actually have two older sisters, 5 and 7 years older than me. I don't talk very much to or about the oldest one. She's made a lo of mistakes and I don't think she's that great of a person. Anyway, the other one pretty much raised me. She's the one who always came to my dance recitals and plays, and she visited me in the hospital when I was sick and mad that my dad wouldn't come. She's the most amazing mother to her son and daughter, and has another son on the way. I'm pretty grown up and I STILL want to grow up to be like her.

3.Out of your college experience which one do you think or rate as the funniest one?

Oh lord. This is going to be a lot of reading. By the way, this story has been put back together by phone calls made that night and two very shady memories. Events contained therein may not be 100% factual, but are pretty damn close.

Ok, so my junior year, I went out with my best friend Melissa and our friend Jon. After the bar, we decided to walk back to Jon's apartment and keep drinking. We walked back, and Jon lived just behind one of the administration buildings. I sat down in the road in front of the admin building and absolutely refused to go any further until someone brought me Cheetos. Jon convinced me that he had Cheerios in his apartment, and since they kinda sound like Cheetos, it would be the same. I decided this was perfectly good logic and followed them into the apartment. After MORE drinking, Melissa and I went into Jon's roommates room. They had raised beds for storage underneath, ad the beds reached just above my belly. Melissa and I both passed out still standing up, but bend over the beds. His roommate came in and tried to wake us up. Melissa though he was hitting on us and stormed out. We lived up a hill, about a 3 minute walk away. There was a clear, well defined path between the two buildings. Somehow, we meandered off of the path. 15 minutes later, she and I are convinced we're lost, crying, and terrified. I keep saying we're going in circles because I was convinced we were passing the same big tree every time. At one point, Melissa and I both sat down in a thorn bush (in skirts) and cried. We FINALLY found our apartment complex, and as we're walking towards my building, my phone rings. It's Allan, Melissa's boyfriend. He was sober, and is the reason I'm able to tell this story because I only remember bits of it. So Allan asks where Melissa is and I say she's right here with me and hand her the phone. They chat and she hangs up and says that he said he tried to call her a couple times and got worried, but she didn't hear the phone ring. So she roots through her bag for it, and of course its not there. Being in the shape we were, we decide the only logical thing to do is go back onto the path and look for her phone in the dark. I tried calling it like fifty times, but we couldn't hear it. The thing was, at the time, we had this inside joke about birds, and her ringtone for when I called was a bunch of birds chirping. One of the things I clearly remember about that night was me going "Why won't those fucking birds shut up so I can hear your phone ring!?!!?" So I guess I called so many times that it got full or something, cause it started going straight to voicemail. We gave up and went to go pass out.

The next morning, I woke up and jumped out of bed. I looked down. I was dirty, there were still thorns in my legs, and my jean skirt was all messed up. I was SO confused. I went into Melissa's room, and she was just waking up. She pulled her covers back and goes "hunh. Thorns." Then she looked at me and said "Thorns?" I confirmed.

Later that day, my phone rang and it was Melissa's number. A guy said he had found the phone and I was the last fifty-some missed calls, so he figured I know whose it was, so Mel got her phone back. Out of curiosity, I asked where he found it. He said it was on the path. We were on it the whole time.

4.How many times or how often do you take your dog out for a walk?

I let her out in the morning and before bed to be quick, but we walk when I get home for half an hour and if there's no dogs to play with I'll wrestle with her for 45 minutes to tire her out back at home.

5.If Hollywood made a movie about your life, whom would you like to see play the lead role as you?
Natalie Portman. Apparently we're twins. I don't see it.

Whew. Okkkk

Rushfan!!

Yay! My turn! :D

1) How's the new place?
OMG, it's awesome! It's so safe and quiet and big and it's just perfect for my family! Sam wasn't allowed in the kitchen at the old place, so she'll just stand in the kitchen and say "I'm inna kitchen" and slide on the lenolium in her socks, it's so cute! She also looooves having a backyard.

2)How's the new job?
Also awesome! I'm really good at it and I really enjoy it. The people are super nice and there's pretty much no office drama over in this department. :)

3) How did you get into sports in general, and specifically UFC
I was raised watching Football (mom is a huge Cowboys fan) and hockey (NY Islanders) and baseball (Go Mets!) I outgrew hockey and baseball and developed a love for basketball, which has faded. The first time I saw UFC was probaby at a party or something, back when it was only on videos. I always ended up at parties with Faces of Death or something weird playing in the background. Now UFC is the sport I watch most often.

4) If I gave you $1 million, and assuming you had not debt, bills or responsible stuff to do, what's the fun stuff you'd buy?
Okay, I would have a house built on a few acres. I would have a blast decorating it. I would take the family up north so Sam could meet her grandparents and I could meet my father, all of whom are in NY and NJ. Maybe have some sort of family reunion get-together because Joe's family is up there, too.
I would also buy clothes. Lots of clothes. I've never just gone on a clothes shopping spree. I was raised shopping at Goodwill and thrift stores, and still often do, which I don't mind, but I'd love to just go nuts and buy expensive clothes and shoes and perfume and shit.

5) What's the most spontaneous thing you've done lately?
afternoon delight

edit: oops, I need to ask more questions, don't I?

Okay, this is kind of a longshot, but I've always been curious about Romerozombie.

1. Do you still have a vagine in a jar under your bed?
2. Favorite horror movie of all time?
3. Have you gotten any better at playing guitar?
4. Why have you been neglecting your poor philosophical thread?

1. Do you still have a vagine in a jar under your bed?
Holy crap, how did you remember that? I wish I had a witty comeback. :(

2. Favorite horror movie of all time?
Good question. First I want to let you know that the type of horror I find most effective is psychological horror, horror that suggests rather than outright makes you jump. I don't dislike gore and violence, but I'm kind of desensitised to it now. LOLOL. Anyway, I'm going to be really original and say The Exorcist. I went to a Church of England primary (elementary) school and had the Bible drilled into me from an early age. I watched The Exorcist at nine years old and I was absolutely horrified. I hardly remember anything about the plot, it all just washed over me like a blasphemous avalanche or other poor metaphor. I haven't watched it since. It was so convincing. If demons exist, so does the Devil.... and so does Hell, which means I could spend eternity there. It really gave me the willies. These days I'm an atheist. :)

3. Have you gotten any better at playing guitar?
Yeah I think so, I have a tutor now. He says I have a really good strumming arm. I don't know what he was implying.

4. Why have you been neglecting your poor philosophical thread?
Tbh I kinda fell out of love with Listverse for a while. Other things interested me more. That, and I have no idea how to continue it. Although now you mention it I may give it some more love.

I'll give my questions in a separate post. Hang on!

1. What one thing would you most like to do before you die?
2. Has any book changed your life?
3. Who in particular on Listverse do you enjoy absolutely destroying in an debate/argument?
4. Have you ever seen something you can't scientifically, logically explain?
5. Are we there yet?

2. How was Chicago?? You never posted any details or pics, as far as I can tell.
3. Are you happy? :D
4. How's your brother?
5. Do you think people are born basically good or can be born evil?

Hi rushfan!

1. I am still in school, it's great, my current favorite class is Astronomy and I used to hate math and science! I guess things change.

2. Going to Chicago was one of the best experiences I've ever had, I don't have any pictures for a couple of reasons, one being that I'm not a picture taker, I like to remember the wonderful images in my head, and two I was really busy, hugging and kissing Vera Lynn, among other things....

3. In general, I am very happy but I have lots of goals and decisions to make in the next few months and years so Im hoping I will be even happier!

4. My brother is doing well, still living his life his way and having fun.

5. I think people are shaped by their environments at young ages and that helps determine whether they are good, evil or in between somewhere. Typically when learning about some of the most evil people in history, it is clear they had very rough childhoods, however, I think most people if given the opportunity and or power would do evil things. Its all about power, just look at Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot etc.

Ps. my feet hurt after walking around Disneyland for 12 hours!

My questions are to RandomPrecision
1. Is it satisfactory to you when the Pittsburgh teams win the championships?

2. How is driving working out for you?

3. Favorite class at school?

4.Do you hate the Yankees as much as I? which is a lot! haha.
